Integrations

An integration is a connection between systems, so that they can exchange or synchronise data/information. Out of the box, Tengo’s systems have critical integrations covered, such as a direct connection to HMRC for Gift Aid submission, processing card payments on PDQ terminals, and reporting feeds in to Microsoft Office Excel spreadsheets.

For everything else, there is Make. Make is a third-party API platform that allows easy integration between almost any software systems. For example, if you have a modern website, or a different piece of software that also contains donor information, you can pass data to and from Tengo using Make’s easy to use interface (and like all of our services, we can also help you out if you don’t know how to do something).

And unlike other providers, our make integrations are based on mySQL, which is the database/ info storage language on which our systems are built. What this means is, whereas some software packages allow only certain data to be used with integrations, through our integration, you can access, report on, update, or synchronise absolutely anything at all, as queries (sets of instructions requesting information or updating it) can be generated to pull out anything that you store on our servers.

Connection to your data through Make (or using mySQL directly if you have the knowledge/requirement to do so) is secure and encrypted, and is available for just £48 per month per charity, with no limits on the number of connections, queries, or users. For an overview of what other systems Make can integrate with, click here, but please bear in mind that there are options available for almost all systems that are out there.
